Hi, I’m Deborah

I am a registered nutritional therapist, working with people suffering with common health problems which can impact on our health and our ability to enjoy life.  There’s often a tendency to accept these as a normal part of ageing, but we don’t need to accept them as normal, or inevitable, because there’s so much we can do to improve our health through food, by giving our bodies the ingredients they need to maintain good health and vitality.

Where do you need to begin to help your body to regain balance?

  • Diabetes or pre-diabetic states

  • Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

  • Lack of energy, exhaustion or chronic fatigue

  • Slow recovery from illness or surgery

  • Acid reflux, indigestion, IBS and other digestive disorders

  • Low immune defence, frequent infections

  • Arthritis/stiff and painful joints, inflammatory conditions

My Approach

Practical guidance planned especially for your needs and your lifestyle.

I’m a Registered Nutrition Practitioner, having qualified from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, with four years of intensive clinical and science-based training. I’m a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and therefore work in accordance with their code of conduct and ethical practice. I have also completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice course through the Institute for Functional Medicine, which I found to be rewarding and stimulating, adding greater depth to my knowledge and practice, and even more enthusiasm for helping people to improve their nutrition for overall wellbeing.

I love guiding people in taking back control of their health! There’s a tendency to think ill health is merely the luck of the draw, and clearly there are many factors involved, but we do have influence over our own health.  There are choices we can make and changes that can weight the odds in our favour.  A valuable part of nutritional therapy is about educating people to make their own informed choices and often when I’ve explained to people what is at the core of their problems, many take the bull by the horns and grasp their new understanding to take them towards renewed health and wellbeing.

We don’t need to accept poor health or lack of energy as inevitable or normal; there is so much we can do to support our bodies in maintaining good health and vitality throughout life.

This is not about “going on a diet”, but embracing the positive benefits of some foods and combinations that are easy to prepare, taste great, and are specifically chosen to benefit you by addressing your particular concerns to optimise your health and wellbeing.
